Works at Wild Place Project (13 & 14 June 2022)

Every effort is being made to minimise disruption and noise, as we undertake essential works:
  • 13 & 14 June: Congo Bongo play area (closed) and Butterfly Maze (closures to be confirmed)
These ground investigations form part of our work to create a new Bristol Zoo at Wild Place Project.

Please note: our lemur walkthrough is supported by our lovely volunteers so opening times are subject to change. Please check the welcome board on arrival for the latest updates.

Many of the legal restrictions have now been lifted, however we are still asking everyone to act carefully and remain cautious, for the safety of our staff, volunteers and fellow visitors.
  • We advise visitors and Annual Pass holders to continue to pre-book tickets on our website, in advance of your visit. A limited number of tickets are available at timeslots each day.
  • The Government advises wearing a face covering in all indoor spaces where you come into contact with people you don’t normally meet. We therefore advise visitors to wear a face covering in all indoor spaces (unless exempt). This includes animal houses, through-ways and toilets as well as our retail buildings. Please see our map for more information.
  • We are asking visitors to pay by card whenever possible, and some areas are operating on a completely cashless basis, this includes our catering outlets.

Please read our FAQs ahead of your visit.
