Sustainable gifting this Christmas
Why not give a gift that makes a difference this Christmas? Wild Place Project and Bristol Zoo Gardens offer a range of sustainable gifts that are perfect for the animal lover in your life, go #OneStepGreener and help support our conservation work.

Our animal adoptions make a meaningful present. Excitingly, we recently launched a new range at Wild Place Project so you can now adopt our giraffes, bears, ring-tailed lemurs and zebras! Each adoption pack includes an eco-friendly 3D model which is made using FSC certified material sourced from the world’s responsibly managed forests. You can adopt one of nine animals here at Bristol Zoo Gardens, including Shifumi the red panda, Trixie the sloth and Poppy the Penguin. Purchase an adoption pack now for Christmas, for £30 at Wild Place Project or £50 at Bristol Zoo Gardens.

Check out our Gift Shop, which is full of unique and sustainable gifts, so you can align your values with your wallet. Visit our shops when you’re next visiting Bristol Zoo Gardens or Wild Place Project, or head online to browse our full range! We even have a whole section dedicated to sustainable and eco-friendly gifts to buy for any animal fans in your family or friend group. The stuffing of the soft toys in this section are made from recycled plastic bottles, packaged up as cute animals, from gorillas, turtles and flamingos, to giraffes, bears and cheetahs. Discover books on how to help protect our incredible planet, such as ‘We Have a Dream’ by Mya-Rose Craig and ‘Guardians of the Planet’ by Clive Gifford to inspire the reader. Other special gifts include bamboo socks and even some bags of delicious (and sustainably farmed) crunchy crickets in various flavours!

If you know someone who loves to visit Wild Place Project, why not give a gift that will keep giving all year with an Annual Pass. This grants unlimited entry to Wild Project for a whole year, so the recipient will be able to make frequent visits whenever they want; whether to see their favourite animals in Bear Wood or Bénoué National Park or enjoy our children’s play areas. Only £44.40 for an adult pass or £33.45 for a child pass!

The money made will go towards running both sites and contributes to Bristol Zoological Society’s conservation work across four continents.
